Why Berkshire Hills

Berkshire Hills is a caring community where your child will make friends, gain independence and learn from a dynamic staff. Since Berkshire Hills serves about three hundred campers at any point in the summer, our entire camp community develops close relationships. Older campers are big brothers and sisters to campers in younger groups while bunk groups and units are like immediate and extended families. Berkshire Hills campers live in community according to eight core Jewish values- Integrity, Respect, Joy, Spirit, Acts of Loving Kindness, Repairing the World, Nature and the Connection with Friends-all while having an incredible summer of fun.

Berkshire Hills creates a warm, caring, family-like environment for children and staff of diverse backgrounds.

My children all have this tremendous sense of belonging to Berkshire Hills. It’s definitely like a second home for them.

My daughter has made friends for life! I attribute it to the culture of the camp. Everyone is down to earth and gets along like one big family.

The Tikkun Olam program was amazing! There is a great sense of community and leadership. The children have a great tolerance and respect for others.
