Meet the Directors

Adam Weinstein, Executive Director

Adam joined Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp in 2012 after seven years as the Executive Director of the American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey; the accrediting body for camps. Adam’s work with hundreds of camps throughout the region gives him an incredible perspective. Adam grew up in not for profit values based camping and is excited to be leading a vibrant values oriented camp with a rich history like Berkshire Hills. Adam believes that all children can learn from the Jewish values that are the core of the Berkshire Hills program and is committed to making Berkshire Hills a welcoming place for children of all faiths and backgrounds.

Adam attended Yale College and Columbia Law School. He spent ten happy years representing low income tenants in New York City before returning to the world of camp at ACA. Adam lives in Westchester with his husband Rodrick, daughter Ruthie, son Alexander, and cat Mocha.

Jenn Carbone, Assistant Director

Jenn has grown up at Berkshire Hills. Her love for camp began when she was just 5 years old. She rose through the units as a camper and eventually grew to become a staff member. Jenn has spent multiple summers as a Unit Head but has also led our staff training efforts and overseen the launch of the cooking center in 2016. She is a graduate of Iona College where she received her degree in Childhood Education and she has also done coursework on Camp Administration and Leadership.

Jenn is excited to continue to nurture and grow our Berkshire Hills community and help instill our values into the lives of every camper and staff member.

Zach Weisbrot, Program Director

Zach is the Program Director at Berkshire Hills, and joined the family in 2017. Zach fell in love with overnight camps the first time he laid eyes on one, and believes his best summers of his life were spent as a camper. Zach believes there are essential values and life skills all campers can learn while at Berkshire Hills.

Zach is a graduate of the University of Delaware, and has worked in child development for several years. He has coached several sports and has been a Delegation Head for the JCC Maccabi games. While not at camp, Zach enjoys watching and playing sports. He is very excited for another special summer at Berkshire Hills.

Seth Gutkin, Operations and Retreats Director

Seth is the Operations and Retreats Director at Berkshire Hills. He has worked seven years at camps in Maine, Canada, and England before he joined Berkshire Hills in 2012. Although Seth was never a camper, he fell in love with it during his first camp experience as a counselor and boating instructor. He believes that he can use his diverse experience to help create a fun and dynamic camp program.

Seth is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has his Master of Education from Niagara University. He is a certified teacher for New York State and currently lives in Westchester with his wife Eve and sons Jesse and Matthew. As always, he can’t wait to get back to camp for another successful season.
