Food, Glorious Food

food-girls-groupFood is an important part of camp. We are fortunate to have Chef Marc Roman – Executive Chef, Greenwich Country Day School. Chef Marc and his staff are committed to serving healthy, nutritious and delicious food. Our food is kosher, but you don’t have to keep kosher to enjoy it. Children and staff eat together at family style meals in our air-conditioned dining room.

Berkshire Hills offers a varied menu with a salad bar so everyone can find something they enjoy. Fresh fruit is available all day. A snack is provided mid-afternoon. Pasta or Soynut butter are available for children who want choices beyond a meal’s main entree.

food-teensAt Berkshire Hills, we believe that a food allergy should not prevent a child from having a positive camp experience. Our kitchen staff prepares special meals for children with gluten, dairy and other allergies and no nuts or nut based products are served at camp.

Sample Meals

Breakfasts

Pancakes, French toast, bagels with cream cheese, cereal bar, yogurt parfaits, scrambled eggs, home fries, muffins, cheese omelets

Lunch

Assorted pizzas, grilled cheese with tomato soup, Dr. Praeger’s chickenless patties, macaroni & cheese, cold cuts, meatball subs and quesadillas

Dinner

Baked ziti, chicken schnitzel, chicken tenders and French fries, BBQ cookouts with hamburgers and hot dogs, roast chicken, tacos, Asian stir-fry and lasagna

A hearty salad bar is available with lunch and dinner.
